Mabel Garcia opened The Conservation Studio in 1963, the year the premises were built and ran it as Garcia Repairers till the late 1980's when Miranda Glossop took it over.

I took the workshop over from Miranda in 1993 and have been running it ever since.

The premises were three times the size of present day. As science and technology evolved and brought about improvements
in techniques and materials in Conservation/Restoration of Ceramics and Glass the need for large premises diminished. 

At present the workshop accommodates 3 professionals and is fully equipped with modern facilities like electronic height adjustable workbenches and equipment.
